The Vietnamese leaders expressed their belief that under the leadership and direction of the Party, State, Government and NA of Laos, Lao people will soon overcome the consequences of the disaster and stabilize their life.

The same day, Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also cabled a message of sympathies to Lao FM Saleumxay Kmmansith.

Torrential rains brought by low depressions in early September have caused severe flood in southern provinces in Laos, including Attapeu, Champasack, Salavanh, Xekong, Savannakhet, and Khammouane, resulting in heavy losses for locals./.
