Since the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has been on a steady path of reforms. His Majesty has consolidated and accelerated political, economic and social reforms that have contributed highly to the political stability and the economic growth of the country nationally and in the international arena.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI continue to place Morocco’s approach for South-South cooperation at the forefront of the country’s strategic and economic priority.
Morocco strongly advocates South-South cooperation through a cotinuing openess towards the African continent as well as towards new geographical areas, in Asia, mainly ASEAN countries.

At the level of international partnership, Morocco continues to foster its cooperation with ASEAN member-States to further enhance and substantiate bilateral relations to tap the potentials in area of mutual interests.
In this context comes to the accession of Morocco to the Treaty of Amity and cooperation with ASEAN and the signing, as the first Arabic and African partners, of a MoU with “Mekong River Commission”, which will effectively give a strong momentum to widening the scope of Morocco – ASEAN partnership and fostering its level in the future to a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership”.
This year, Vietnam and Morocco celebrated the 56th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. More than half of a century of excellent relations that have reached a high level of political maturity, rich history, shared heritage and common values that lay the foundations for developing and fostering these ties in the future.
“During this current year, we organised, jointly with our Vietnamese partners, an interntional seminar on 'shared historic memory between Morocco and Vietnam', which was an ecellent opportunity to put forward the rich and deep rooted historical heritage our to countries continue to share in common and cherish as foundations for promissing cooperation in all levels,” said Mr. Azzeddine Farhane, Ambassador of His Majesty the King of Morocco to Vietnam.
The celebration of Throne Day, which take place each year on the occasion of the accession to the Throne of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, is a unique tribute that Moroccans are commemorating as a longstanding tradition of cohesion between the people and the Alaouite monarchy that has existed for over four centuries in Morocco, leading the nation-building and progress./.
