PCC Commission leader receives Chinese Ambassador

During the reception, Mr. Thuong congratulated and appreciated the significance of the recent 6th plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, adding that as the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China share a lot of similarities, it is necessary to increase exchanges and cooperation at work, in order to increase the leading capacity of the two Parties.

Regarding cooperation in popularization work and management of the press, Mr. Thuong suggested that the two sides should continue to efficiently carry out the cooperation mechanism between the two PCC Commissions on Popularization and Education; increase cooperation among communications agencies; and further discuss experience sharing about the management of the press and cyber security.

Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong congratulated Mr. Thuong for being selected as a member of the Politburo during the 12^th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressing his belief that Mr. Thuong, in his new position, will make greater contribution to developing the relationship between the two Parties, countries and peoples.

He also informed Mr. Thuong of the significant developments in the relationship between the two countries, especially the exchange of high-ranking delegations, the cooperation between the two Parties and State, economic and commercial and investment cooperation, and the exchanges between the two peoples and press agencies.

He confirmed that the Chinese Party, Government and people attach great importance to boosting the relationship with Vietnam, and that he will be willing to do his utmost to foster the relationship between the two Parties, countries and peoples./.
