Russian bureau willing to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh city in social and human issues

Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Vo Thi Dung on December 26th received a delegation from the Russian Social Bureau led by Sergey Aleksandrovich, Vice President of the Russian Social Institute, who is on a visit to the Vietnamese city.

During the reception, Ms Dung expressed her happiness with the increasingly developed friendly relationship between the two countries, adding that Ho Chi Minh city had marked the 100th year since the Russian October Revolution with diverse practical activities.

Regarding trade relations between the two countries, the Deputy Secretary said that Ho Chi Minh city had established multilateral cooperative relationships with Russian localities, and hoped the two sides would increase cooperation in economics, culture, science and technology, environment, tourism and education.

Expressing his impression of Vietnam’s strong development, especially Ho Chi Minh city’s, Mr. Sergey Aleksandrovich stressed the need to develop humans, especially the young generations, to build up a better future for the country.

He appreciated political and social assistance by Ho Chi Minh city Fatherland Front, adding that the Russian Social Bureau would be willing to support Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh city in particular in population, environment, traffic and climate change./.
