Talking with the press on December 17th, Mr. Nhan said that the delegation had worked with three large US localities, including San Francisco, Boston and Washington DC, aiming to seek and promote cooperation between Ho Chi Minh city and US localities, especially in start-ups, and the implementation of the project to build it into a smart city.

“The delegation met with Vietnamese community representatives in the US to promote economic cooperation; met with close partners, including the World Bank (WB) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), to identify specific areas for potential cooperation with Ho Chi Minh city; and worked with important US agencies to promote the relationship between the two countries,” said Mr. Nhan, adding that some 30 meetings had been taken place.

He confirmed that all the goals had been realised to serve the city’s development targets. “The delegation met with partners, made them trust Vietnam’s and Ho Chi Minh city’s development, thus confirming a determination to cooperation with us,” he added./.
