Tel Aviv willing to expand bond with Vietnamese localities

The Tel Aviv administration is willing to cooperate with Vietnamese localities and share experience in smart city development, tourism, investment and business, aiming to deepening the relations between Israel and Vietnam, Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai told Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Do Minh Hung.

Huldai made the statement at a working session with the Vietnamese diplomat on August 8th, during which the two sides shares experience in the fields of innovation, start-up and smart city development.

He said he visited Vietnam five years ago, and was impressed by the country’s landscape and friendly people.

He congratulated Vietnam on its strong socio-economic development in recent times, affirming that Tel Aviv will share its experience in smart city development with Vietnam.

For his part, Ambassador Hung suggested the two countries promote and tighten cooperation in the coming time.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese embassy in Israel stands ready to serve as a bridge connecting investment and cooperation between Tel Aviv and Vietnamese localities.

Tel Aviv is known as a startup hub with 1,500 startups. Israel leads the world with more than 5,000 startups. Tel Aviv is also an international economy, finance and tourism centre, ranking the second in the Middle East, after Dubai of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)./.
