Thai National Day celebrated

The Thai Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city on December 4th held a ceremony to mark the National Day of Thailand and celebrate the 91st birth anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (December 5th).

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang appreciated the development of the comprehensive relationship between Vietnam and Thailand, especially after they heightened the relationship to strategic partnership.

Thailand is always among the 10 leading economies investing in Ho Chi Minh city, with the current number of investment projects at 195, worth USD358 million.

Reviewing outstanding events in Vietnam - Thailand relationship over the past 3 years, Thai Consul General to Ho Chi Minh city Ureerat Ratanaprukse said that the two-way trade turnover reached nearly USD16 billion in 2017, and looks to USD20 billion by 2020.

In particular, his nation focuses its investment in alternative energy and the petrochemical industry./.
