Vietnam and San Marino enhance cooperation in economy, culture and tourism

The Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy, concurrently the Republic of San Marino, Nguyen Thi Bich Hue recently presented credentials to the two Co-Heads of San Marino, Mr. Luca. Boschi and Ms. Mariella Mularoni.
At the event, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Hue conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to the two Co-Heads of San Marino, and affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to developing relations with San Marino and proposed some cooperation fields of mutual interest, including finance, tourism and heritage preservation.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese ambassador had a meeting with Foreign Minister of San Marino Nicola Renzi. At the meeting, Mr. Renzi expressed his impression of Vietnam's outstanding development and agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and tourism.

In addition, Ms. Hue also participated in the meeting between the Chamber of Commerce of San Marino and ambassadors of several countries.

Vietnam and the Republic of San Marino established diplomatic relations in 2007. San Marino is one of the smallest countries in the world. Its area is about 61 km2 with a population of over 30,000. The country is located in the Emilia Romagna region of Central Italy, but it is a completely independent state.

San Marino is a parliamentary republic, has diplomatic relations with many countries around the world and is a member of the United Nations./.
