So confirmed Hau A Lenh, VFF Vice President and Secretary General, during his working visit with CESE President Patrick Bernasconi in Paris on September 17
th.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Mr. Patrick Bernasconi expressed his pleasure at receiving the VFF delegation to visit France and attend the AICESIS.
In March, Mr. Patrick Bernasconi sent a letter to VFF President Tran Thanh Man on being ready to carry out cooperation with the VFF, confirming that the cooperation between CESE and VFF would contribute to promoting the Vietnam - France strategic partnership.
On this occasion, Mr. Lenh congratulated CESE for successfully hosting and organizing the 2018 AICESIS in Paris.
In the future, the two sides agreed to increase exchange in waste treatment and training of cadres; and promptly sign the bilateral cooperation agreement in environmental protection.
On the same day, the VFF delegation attended the AICESIS 2018 Assembly, which was addressed by representatives from 14 European, Latin American, African and Asian countries, focusing on such subjects as digital revolution and its impact on socio-economic inequality, and the role of digital technology in administration and social partnership.
Established in 1999, AICESIS aims to increase dialogue and experience sharing among members, on the basics of respecting the values of peace, security, democracy and human rights.
It always cares for supporting the establishing of Economic and Social Councils in the world. The VFF officially became an AICESIS member in 2009./.
