Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador Manh appreciated the great contributions made by Russian educational institutions in general and the three universities in particular to Vietnam’s personnel training.

According to him, as Vietnam is accelerating reform in all areas, it needs high quality human resources. He added that Vietnam hoped to continue to receive support from Russian universities, pledging that he would do his utmost to promote the Vietnam - Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, including education and training.

Expressing his honour and gratitude to Vietnam for the precious medals, Professor Vladimir May, Rector of RANEPA, stressed that Vietnam and Russia share a friendly, traditional and cooperative relationship.

He added that RANEPA is experienced in training Vietnamese personnel. “So far, nearly 1,000 Vietnamese citizens, including Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, studied in RANEPA,” he said, going on to say that the signing of cooperation documents between the university and Vietnamese partners, such as the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Hanoi Law University, will significantly contribute to strengthening the bilateral relations.

Meanwhile, MIPhI began providing training programs for Vietnamese students in 2010. In the 2017-2018 academic year, 62 Vietnamese students graduated from the university, and 243 Vietnamese students are currently studying at the foundation.

MIIA has also helped train hundreds of Vietnamese cadres. Recently, under the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, MIIA has operated its Vietnamese language faculty./.
