She added that the summit had become an important forum in linking women in the world, contributing to the common efforts of ensuring gender equality and for women’s progress.

The 3-day event gathered over 1,300 delegates from 62 countries to discuss solutions encouraging women to participate more actively in economic activities.

Accordingly, female politicians and entrepreneurs discussed the world economic situation, and the advantages and disadvantages of the 4th science and technology revolution towards the efforts to ensure gender equality in each country; sharing policies in support of women in balancing work and life; raising social awareness on the role and ability of women; encouraging men to join housework with women; increasing the participation of women in coping with ageing economies; and suggesting solutions to narrow the gender gap.

The summit also held discussions on women’s leadership and management skills, the promotion of business leadership of women, the application of technology in businesses, and access to education and markets for women.

Actively attending the summit discussions, the Vietnamese delegation provided Vietnam’s experience in promoting the role of women in every area of life. Vietnam’s efforts in ensuring women’s progress were appreciated by international friends, as it was ranked among the top five countries reporting the highest rate of women leaders and managers in businesses in the Asia - Pacific region./.
