Vietnam, Romania sign agricultural cooperation deal

Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong and his Romanian counterpart Petre Dachau on April 15th signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in agricultural, veterinary and food safety areas.

The MoU was signed during Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit to Romania from April 14
th-16
th, and under the witness of the Vietnamese Prime Minister and his Romanian counterpart Viorica Dancila.
Under the MoU, the two sides committed to increase strict cooperation in agriculture, veterinary and food safety, focusing on cultivation, plantation and breeding technologies, animal and plant quarantine, ensuring food safety and quality, training and research.
They will also increase exchanges for mutual understanding and for promoting trade of agricultural products, as well as cooperating in agricultural investment, contributing to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries./.
