According to the Institute of Oncology, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, each year, 200 cases of cell transplant are carried out in the Centre, making it one of the leading transplant centres in Europe. Meanwhile, it is capable of applying advanced research technologies in hospitals for treating blood tumours and solid tumours.

After the signing ceremony, the Russian medical delegation will introduce and support new immunotherapy in transplant treatment for Vietnam, especially in pediatrics, and bring new treatment therapies from the World Child Cancer Centre to the country.

First, the institute will support the training of Vietnamese doctors on the transplant therapy. Accordingly, Vietnamese child cancer patients will receive direct consultation for effective and inexpensive treatment therapies.

This is part of Russia’s medical activities during the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week, aiming to promote medical links between the two nations./.
