Vietnam’s and Russian Federation’s capitals increase cooperation

During a working visit to the Russian Federation, a delegation from Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi led by Dao Duc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee, visited the Moscow city Duma.

Receiving the delegation, Ziuganov Leonid Andreevich, Deputy Head of the group of members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the Moscow city Duma, said that Moscow and Hanoi should promote more effective cooperation in economics, trade, investment, culture, society and tourism, adding that he came to Vietnam and was impressed by its natural beauty.

Expressing his thanks for the warm reception, Mr. Toan gave a general introduction on the economic, political and social situation of Vietnam and Hanoi, stressing the importance of the cooperation between the two capitals in fostering and reinforcing the friendly, traditional and comprehensive strategic partnership relationship between the two countries.

He appreciated the cooperation between the two cities with eight cooperative agreements signed since 2000. He also agreed with Mr. Ziuganov Leonid that the two cities’ leaders should pay great attention to further promoting the cooperative relationship.

According to Mr. Toan, the increased cooperation between the two sides hold great significance as the two sides have continuously promoted the comprehensive strategic partnership, in order to strengthen the Vietnam - Russia traditional relationship.

On this occasion, he thanked the Moscow city Duma for making favourable conditions for Hanoi enterprises to do business in the city, especially the Hanoi - Moscow Centre which is considered a symbol of the friendship between the two cities and two countries./.
