Burj Khalifa's Facebook page said on September 2 that, on the 75th anniversary of Vietnamese National Day, Burj Khalifa was lit with this country's flag. “We wish the Vietnamese people more and more prosperity and success.”

Accordingly, more than 160 floors with the height of 828 meters are covered with the image of the national flag of Vietnam. Screening flags on the Khalifa tower is a ritual performed by the Dubai and UAE authorities to signify their respect for some partners they consider special.

Currently, the UAE is the largest trading partner of Vietnam in the Middle East and Africa. Meanwhile, Vietnam is considered the leading gateway of UAE to enter the ASEAN market. Two-way trade turnover in 2019 reached nearly USD6 billion, of which Vietnam saw a trade surplus of nearly USD5 billion. The two countries aim to increase two-way trade turnover to USD10 billion in the coming years./.
