Bird flu actively supervised in Ho Chi Minh City

The plan aims to control the epidemic, preventing its appearance or its wide spread; taking initiative in supervision to detect the epidemic early to warn and have prevention and control measures; creating conditions for successfully building safe poultry breeding facilities as well as contributing to minimize negative impacts of bird flu on community health, food security and trade activities of the city.

Accordingly, the city budget will ensure funding for activities of each district, including: buying periodic vaccines for bird flu and vaccination against epidemics; buying equipment and protective equipment for vaccination; actively supervising the circulation of influenza viruses, supervising after vaccination; building safe breeding facilities.

Investigating outbreaks, getting and testing samples; anti-epidemic activities, personal protection equipment, poultry culling, hygiene, decontamination and detoxification; providing information and communication; professional training; organizing inspection, surveillance and organizing conferences on avian influenza prevention and control in the city; implementing the month of decontamination and sterilization launched by the Central agency; funding to buy influenza preventive chemicals./.
