Book street in HCMC attracts 1.2 million visitors

Over 1.2 million visitors have visited Ho Chi Minh city’s book street in the first six months of this year.
According to the Southern Representative Office of the Vietnam Publishers Association, there were 5,000-6,000 visitors coming to the Book Street on each weekday. At weekends or on special occasions, the number of visitors rose to 10,000 a day.
Owners of book stalls on the street have reported a significant increase in sales, with turnover in just the first three months of this year amounting to VND11 billion (around USD500,000) or the same as in the entire second half of last year.
