The Secretary said the city is inviting businesses to invest in fields such as recycling solid waste into energy; developing solar cells for people to use; and controlling water and air quality to make the city greener and cleaner.

With their strengths, Danish businesses can invest in these areas. For start-up activities, Ho Chi Minh city is developing its start-up centres, so the city hopes that Denmark will support and share its experience with the city in this field.

According to Ms. Charlotte Laurse, 150 Danish businesses have been operating in Vietnam, of which two thirds are operating in the Southern hub. This figure is huge compared to the number of Danish businesses operating in other Southeast Asian countries.

The Ambassador said that Denmark wants to expand cooperation with Vietnam in many fields. With the city, it wants to promote cooperation on clean energy development, smart city building solutions and sharing experience in flood prevention.

She hoped that the city would support accelerating the implementation of the project of Danish House in Ho Chi Minh city./.
