Five documentaries mark 45th anniversary of southern liberation

The Vietnam People’s Army Cinema has produced five documentaries to mark the 45th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the national reunification.

They are part of an ongoing 22-episode project titled “Con Duong Da Chon” (The Chosen Path) being produced by the unit.

The films feature the years of the war against the US Army, especially from the Dien Bien Phu on the air campaign to the Ho Chi Minh campaign, the moment of complete liberation of the South and reunification of the country. This will help viewers see the historical process of the Ho Chi Minh campaign, the cause of the great victory of our army and people.

The films are directed by People's Artist Le Thi, with many directors participating in each episode, such as People's Artist Luu Quy, Meritorious Artists Pham Huyen, Bui Chi Trung and Tran Vu Anh.

Each film has a length of about 30 minutes, and achieves high accuracy in historical image material. These five documentaries will be broadcast on television on the occasion of April 30th./.
