Ho Chi Minh city leaders offer incense to commemorate late PM Vo Van Kiet

A delegation led by Ms. Vo Thi Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee, on November 22nd visited and offered incense to commemorate late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet at his family's home, on the occasion of his 95th birthday (November 23rd).

Then, Ms. Dung kindly visited the family of the late Prime Minister and wished all members of his family continuing health and happiness. Looking back on the life and glorious revolutionary cause of the late Prime Minister, Ms. Dung expressed her deep respect and gratitude for his great contributions to the development of the country, especially Ho Chi Minh city.

Late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet had the birth name Phan Van Hoa and code name of Sau Dan. He was born on November 23rd, 1922, in Trung Hiep commune, Vung Liem district, Vinh Long province and was an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh.

Mr. Vo Van Kiet is known as a leader of action and creativity, with great achievements in the cause of innovation of the nation.

He died on June 11th, 2008./.
