According to the district People’s Committee, the results were brought about by carrying out diverse poverty reduction programs, solutions and policies.

The district disbursed capital from the poverty reduction fund giving loans to 575 poor and nearly-poor families, thus creating jobs for 863 people. Additionally, nearly 2,000 poor and nearly-poor families accessed loans from organizations and unions worth more than VND20 billion.

In 2017, 10,606 medical insurance cards were distributed to poor people.

While the fund for the poor helped build 48 charitable houses using VND2.4 billion, repair two others using VND58 million and give assistance worth over VND290 million to 57 extremely disadvantaged families, the district budget provided support to 14 poor and nearly-poor families with VND35 million, and assisted more than 1,600 poor families with VND717 million in power fees./.
