He made the statement while receiving Mr. Augusto Morelli, Peruvian Ambassador to Vietnam, on May 3rd.

Appreciating his working visit to Ho Chi Minh city, Chairman Phong confirmed that the city wanted to welcome Peruvian investors, especially in agriculture, textile and garment, consumer products and infrastructure.

“Ho Chi Minh city is willing to make favourable conditions for the Peruvian Embassy in Vietnam to carry out cooperative programs, including upcoming activities to mark the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam - Peru diplomatic relationship,” he stressed.

Expressing his thanks to the city’s leader for the warm reception, Peruvian Ambassador to Vietnam Augusto Morelli said he cared about the promotion of investment opportunities between the two countries.

According to the Peruvian Ambassador, the two sides share a lot of similarities in lifestyle and culture, while they both face challenges in population, infrastructure and future vision. He pledged, in his position, to encourage Peruvian investors in tourism, infrastructure and hi-tech industry to come to the city, thus promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries./.
