Ho Chi Minh city’s young people actively protect environment

Members of the Ho Chi Minh city Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 18th carried out a green Sunday event for the 125th time across districts, in an effort to protect the environment.

The program aims to disseminate information on environmental protection and climate change by cleaning up the environment, eliminating inadequate advertisements, developing advanced alleys and green spaces, and instructing people on how to classify waste at its source.
According to Ngo Minh Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Union, the program showed the youth’s responsibility in protecting the environment and coping with climate change.
Le Quoc Phong, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, praised the program as one of the key activities of the union which was set by the resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Union term 2017-2022./.
