Ho Chi Minh city: Supply and demand connection program lures over 500 enterprises

A supply and demand connection program between Ho Chi Minh City and other localities in 2020 will be organized from September 24 to 27 with the participation of 531 businesses and 9 big retail systems, said the Department of Industry and Trade.

Among the 531 businesses, there are 409 companies from 34 provinces and cities registering 232 booths, and 122 companies of Ho Chi Minh City registering 224 booths.
This year, 9 major retailers including Saigon Co.op, Satra, Lotte, Big C, Citimart, Aeon, MM Mega Market, Bach Hoa Xanh (Green Groceries), and Emart and other import and export businesses will appear at the event to seek goods for their systems and help find consumption channels.
The department said it would support businesses to contact, negotiate and sign memorandums of understanding and contracts. In the short term, businesses may join the program free of cost.
The program is an opportunity for supermarkets and trade centers to connect with goods producers in the country so that a more favorable and professional supply connection chain will be formed. High-quality products and specialty products with export potential will be supported to expand market./.
