Hundreds of thousands of jobs created in Ho Chi Minh city

In 2019, Ho Chi Minh city will provide over 320,000 jobs for laborers. Notably, 80% of the jobs require trained laborers, said Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the city's Centre for Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information (FALMI).

The recruited positions are mainly in digital marketing, customer service, logistics service, retail, fashion service and consumption goods. In particular, the demand for information and technology industry will sharply increase in 2019.

“As the digital trade is undergoing strong development, the human resource demand in sectors relating to digital trade will be increased in 2019,” said Mr. Tuan. “More and more businesses are running digital trade activities, thus creating more jobs”.

He added that the increase in import-export, investment, logistics services in Ho Chi Minh city in particular and in Vietnam in general has required a greater number of high quality human resources./.
