Saigon Co.op shares spending pressure with consumers

The Saigon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co.op) said that from August 20 the Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets system will offer simultaneous discounts with the theme “Pride of Vietnamese goods – Joining hands against the COVID-19 epidemic” to continue sharing spending pressure with consumers.

This is the second discount campaign in August 2020, lasting for 21 consecutive days, focusing on essential products such as milk, vegetables, fish, meat, soaps, shampoo and kitchen tools. The commodities have average price cuts from 20% to 50%. 

Specifically, from August 25, Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.opmart SCA and Fine Life supermarkets system will present a large amount of free antibacterial fabric face masks for customers who have Saigon Co. membership cards, worth more than VND50 billion. 

Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, Saigon Co.op General Director, said the co-operatives now prepare many essential commodities to meet the shopping demand of customers in the following months, and have a plan to regularly supply products to the market with best prices, contributing to stabilizing market prices. 

The Co.opmart and Co.opXtra system also encourages customers to shop online, via phone or mobile application./.
