Science Film Festival 2017 to open in HCM city

The 12th Science Film Festival 2017 for children and teenagers themed “Anthropocene” will take place at Cine Star in District 1, Ho Chi Minh city, on October 22nd.


A selection of 19 movies from 7 different countries is helping to support the scientific consciousness of young people regardless their age and origin.

Last year, 36,000 viewers attended 300 screenings in Vietnam. This year, the organizers hope that the festival will again attract parents, teachers and students of all ages. 

The Science Film Festival takes place for the seventh time in Vietnam, this year it starts on October 6th and ends on December 7th.

The film program shows us the beauty and vulnerability of the ecosystems on our Earth.

All films are recommended for adolescents and children from age 9. Aside from screenings, there will also be games and experiments which deepen the process of learning and understanding.

Until December 7th the program will be presented at schools in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, HCM city, Binh Duong, Phu Tho, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Dac Lac, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Long An, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, Ben Tre, and Dong Nai.
