Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, said that engraving deeply Uncle Ho’s teachings, over the past 60 years, the Party, the administration, the army and the people of Ninh Binh province have strived to emulate socio-economic development: being proactive and creative in building new-style rural areas, and successfully implementing the targets set in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.
She added that the province's economy has developed comprehensively. The economic growth rate in the period of 2016 - 2018 reached an average of 8.21%/year; the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction; the proportion of industries and services has increased; the spiritual and material life of the people has increased significantly, the rate of poor households has decreased to more than 3.6%.
At the celebration, Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong, Member of the Politburo, Standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, praised the achievements Ninh Binh province has gained in recent years. He asked the Party, administration and people of the province to uphold the tradition, continue to boost studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Each cadre and Party member must constantly strive to be worthy of the people's beliefs; the province should focus on economic development in the direction of improving productivity, quality and efficiency in parallel with environmental protection; attaching importance to preserving cultural and historical relics, protecting Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, which is a source for economic development, making Ninh Binh a key tourist region.
He believed that, with the historical and cultural tradition, with the pride of welcoming Uncle Ho five times, the Party, administration and people of Ninh Binh province have to strive to soon make Ninh Binh a strong rich province, contributing to realize the goal of rich people, strong country, democracy, justice and civilization of the whole country.
The ceremony is also an opportunity for each cadre, Party member and people in the province to review the glorious revolutionary tradition; striving to successfully achieve the socio-economic development goals in 2019, well preparing all conditions to successfully organize the Party Congress at all levels for the 2020-2025 term./.
