The US group TTi has proposed to invest USD150 million on an area of 10 hectares at the Saigon Hi-tech Park (SHTP) to build a plant and center for research of solar energy batteries.

The proposal was made during TTi Group President H.J.Pudwill’s working visit to Ho Chi Minh city.

According to MS Le Bich Loan, SHTP Deputy Head, the two sides have had a smooth start for the project.

Recently, Horst Geicke, Deputy President of the German Businesses’ Association in Vietnam, President and CEO of German House in Ho Chi Minh city, said that the German Government wanted to spend a large amount of money to invest in a vocational training in district 2.

Established on October 24th, 2002, the SHTP is one of the three national hi-tech parks established by the Government.

Situated on an area of initial 300 hectares, in the second phase of the park development, the area will be expanded on additional 200 hectares. Domestic and foreign companies are investing in building plants./.
