On September 22nd, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong presented the Decision appointing Mr. Bui Ta Hoang Vu, 42 years old, born in Quang Ngai, as Director of the city Department of Tourism. He has a Master degree in Economics and was the Head of the District 8 People’s Committee.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet (54 years old) received a Decision to hold the post as Director of the city Department of Culture and Sports. He has a Bachelor degree in Economics and is an Electrical Engineer. He was previously the Secretary of the District 8 Party Committee.

The Chairman of the city People’s Committee hoped the two new Directors would raise high their responsibility to fulfil the assigned tasks and promote the potential of tourism, culture and sports of the southern hub.
In relation to personnel work, in late August, 18 members of the city People’s Committee were re-appointed, with Mr. Vo Van Hoan being assigned as Head of the Office of the city People’s Committee.
Mr. Huynh Van Hanh, Mr. Su Ngoc Anh, Mr. Pham Thanh Kien, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Mr. Tran Trong Tuan and Ms. Phan Thi Thang hold the positions of Directors of Departments of Justice, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Transport, Construction and Finance, respectively.
The Directors of Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, Science and Technology, Education and Training, and Planning and Architecture are Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Mr. Le Minh Tan, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Mr. Le Hong Son and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha, respectively./.
