Homeland Spring Program 2018 to be held in Hanoi

The State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued Official Dispatch 95/UBNV-V2 on reporting to register to attend the Homeland Spring Program 2018 in Hanoi.

The State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued Official Dispatch 95/UBNV-V2 on reporting to register to attend the Homeland Spring Program 2018 in Hanoi.

The program is expected to take place on February 7th or 8th, 2018 (Lunar December 22nd or 23rd of the year of the Rooster), at the National Convention Centre and live broadcast on Vietnam Television as well as a number of provincial and municipal television stations.


It will include outstanding activities such as incense-offering ceremony and releasing carp under the traditional rituals, meeting overseas Vietnamese to welcome new spring, especially the State President wishing Happy New Year to overseas Vietnamese, beating a drum to open spring festival and art exchange program. 

Last year's event welcomed about 1,000 participants.
