The contest took place between June to November last year in order to find appropriate pieces to go on display in the exhibition.

The event was co-organised by central Thua Thien – Hue provincial People’s Committee, the Party Central Committee’s Commission of Popularization and Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA).

The artworks featured the stunning beauty of the natural landscapes of Vietnam’s seas and islands, along with the daily life of locals, as well as their cultural characteristics and customs.

The exhibition has previously been held at Hanoi’s Temple of Literature and in the historical site of Hoa Lu ancient capital in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

The event in Hue will run until April 17th. Then, it will be held in Ho Chi Minh City.
