The 5th Vientiane Cup 2018 for young overseas Vietnamese in Vientiane, Laos recently concluded with two football matches to win the first, second and third positions.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Can, Head of the organizing board of the 5th Vientiane Cup 2018, said that over the three weeks of competition, footballers from 10 teams created wonderful matches.
In addition, the organizing board raised about USD2,600 and objects worth USD1,500. The amount and objects partly served the organization of the tournament, and the remaining was presented to centres bringing up deaf and disabled Lao children in Vientiane and families in especially difficult circumstance.
On this occasion, football teams winning the first, second and third positions donated part of their rewards to support deaf and blind Lao children. These are significant and practical activities of the tournament over the past five years, and express the humanity of the Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Vientiane./.
