5th Vietnam cultural festival in RoK’s Gwangju - Jeonnam

Taking place at the Gwangju University, the festival marks the 27th anniversary of Vietnam - Rok diplomatic relations (December 22nd, 1992 -December 22nd, 2019).         

The event will include various programs such as the contest “Perfect couple 2019”, painting contest for children from RoK - Vietnam families, contest “Learning about RoK’s culture", and experience program wearing traditional costumes of Vietnam.

Starting from 2013, the Vietnam cultural festival in Gwangju - Jeonnam has been organized regularly to create an entertainment atmosphere for the overseas Vietnamese community in the RoK, as well as promote the beauty, culture and tradition of Vietnam to the RoK and international friends.

The festival this year is promised to be an opportunity to improve the position of the overseas Vietnamese community in Gwangju - Jeonnam in particular, in the RoK in general, as well as in international arena.

Through the event, overseas Vietnamese in the RoK will have a chance to look toward their origins and RoK friends will better understand the special traditional culture of Vietnam as well as enhance the friendship, cooperation and traditional relations between the two nations./.
