Additional overseas Vietnamese branch in RoK established

The Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Republic of Korea (RoK) recently announced the official decision establishing an overseas Vietnamese branch in Jeollabukdo province.

This is the 15th overseas Vietnamese branch operating under the direction of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in RoK.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Duc Luong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in RoK, emphasized that the establishment of the branch in Jeollabukdo aims to create an important link in the network of overseas Vietnamese branches across the RoK.

It is an extended arm of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the region, and holds practical activities to help and develop the Vietnamese community in the region.

On behalf of the community, Chairwoman of the overseas Vietnamese branch Vu Thi Hao pledged to try to build a stronger branch and ensure practical benefits for the Vietnamese community in the RoK in general and in Jollabukdo region in particular.

There are nearly 20,000 Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Jeollabukdo province, out of a total of more than 200,000 in the RoK./.
