Art and cultural exchange between youth unions of Vietnam and Russia

Speaking at the exchange, Mr. Le Anh Duy, Secretary of the Civil Affairs Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in the Russian Federation, stressed that today, the Vietnamese young people studying and living in the Russian Federation have together preserved and enriched the Vietnam - Russia friendship by art and cultural exchange activities, exhibitions and sports to introduce the country, people and culture of Vietnam to international friends in general and Russian people in particular.

The art and cultural exchange this time was an opportunity for young people of the two countries to exchange, learn and help each other to develop.

For his part, Mr. Yaroslav Listov, Secretary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, Head of the Department of Youth Affairs of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party, expressed his pleasure at the exchange between the youth of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League.

According to him, strengthening friendship ties between the young generations of the two countries, like activities in the Soviet system, now has important significance in the modern period because people, who are cultivating friendships, can understand the cultures of each other, can become long-term friends and future friends. The youth of the two countries should jointly contribute to cultivating the Vietnam - Russia friendship over many decades.

As many as 15 art items performed by Vietnamese students studying in Russia and young Russian people brought strong impressions to viewers.

In the framework of the exchange, a small exhibition displaying traditional costumes, handicrafts and many other objects and photos to introduce the country and people of Vietnam, helped young Russian people understand more about Vietnam./.
