Art program to raise charitable funds held in Moscow

An art program was recently organized by the women’s branch at the Moscow Trade Centre and Cuu Long Restaurant to raise charitable funds to support small Vietnamese businessmen seriously damaged by the fire at a Vietnamese market in Orenburg city, Russia, in early December 2017, help Vietnamese heroic mothers, children with disabilities and orphans in Vietnam.

Ms. Pham Thi Oanh, Head of the branch, said that the total amount raised during the program was RUB121,000, which the branch will present directly to those who need the help. In addition, the branch has planned to present 100 bags of rice, worth RUB100,000 to help small Vietnamese businesses suffering from the market fire in Orenburg city.

More than four years after its founding, with more than 200 members, the women’s branch at the Moscow Trade Centre has conducted many activities towards the homeland. The branch has organized many charity programs, and built houses to help poor households and support lonely elderly people and disabled children.

The branch will hold its Congress this June to establish a Vietnamese Women’s Union in Moscow to expand its activities, attract more members to share and help each other in the life./.
