With the mission of attracting resources of overseas Vietnamese to develop the economy in Vietnam and build a strong overseas Vietnamese business community, since its establishment in March 2009, BAOOV has attracted the participation of more than 200 members whose are successful, reputable entrepreneurs in the community and have hearts towards their homeland.

According to Nguyen Ngoc My, Vice Chairman of BAOOV, members always try their best to serve the nation while facing many difficulties and challenges.

From 2013, BAOOV has organized activities to promote its image and created connections among many entrepreneurs, businesses and relevant state-owned agencies. The executive board has been very active in expanding its branches at home and abroad, developing its network, and supporting domestic localities and enterprises to promote trade abroad. The establishment of a branch in the North Central region is a typical example.

While glad of the great development potential of provinces in the North Central region, especially Nghe An province, Mr. Nguyen Cong Chinh, Head of the North Central region branch, also mentioned difficulties in upcoming activities. That is the difference in thinking, building and deploying plans between overseas Vietnamese businessmen and local administrations and entrepreneurs.

Mr. Chinh said that in the short term, the branch in the North Central region will coordinate with BAOOV to complete a database to support connection and trade.

Recently, many overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs have wanted to return to Vietnam to invest, but they meet difficulties in finding partners and information on laws and policies. The database will help overseas Vietnamese businessmen improve lack of initial information or spending time to find partners.

After nearly a decade, BAOOV has implemented many promising projects such as building the East-West Economic Corridor, and supporting young entrepreneurs to start-up.

With enthusiastic leaders, toward the homeland and the active support of domestic agencies, members believe that the association will fulfill its mission of becoming a common house for Vietnamese entrepreneurs all over the world, contributing to building a strong business community with a worthy position in the international arena./.
