Can Tho city welcomes 230 citizens repatriated from Taiwan (China)

As many as 230 Vietnamese citizens from Taiwan (China) were brought home on September 9.

The flight was arranged by the Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnam Economic-Cultural Office in Taipei, budget Vietjet Air and related authorities of Taiwan (China).

Passengers were the elderly, pregnant women, workers with expired labour contracts, those suffering from underlying diseases and labour injuries, students who concluded their curricula, travellers and other especially disadvantaged cases.

Security, safety and hygiene measures were carried out to protect their health and prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic during the flight.

The passengers and crewmembers received health check-up right after landing at Can Tho international airport. Then they were sent to concentrated quarantine sites in line with regulations.

Similar flights will be arranged in the coming time to to repatriate Vietnamese citizens with disadvantaged circumstances, depending on their need and quarantine capacity at home./.
