Bang Long Pagoda, Buddhists, benefactors and Blue Star Group organized a charity program to help disadvantaged patients being treated at Laos’ military hospital 103 in Vientiane on August 14th.

More than 1,000 free meals and over 100 bed sheets were given to patients undergoing treatment in the hospital. The gift is not large, but it shows the sentiment and solidarity between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos, being sent to the patients, patient's families and the hospital.

This is the first large-scale charity program organized by the Bang Long Pagoda, Buddhist monks and nuns, philanthropists and the Blue Star group, marking the "Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2017", the 70th anniversary of the War Invalids' and Martyrs' Day, and respond to the call for “Action Month for People in Difficult Situation" launched by the Lao Front for National Construction Central Committee.

Bang Long Pagoda in Vientiane under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Central Committee, was built in 1942./.
