At the incense offering ceremony, General To Lam affirmed that people across the country are organizing various significant activities toward the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

After two years of construction, the Ho Chi Minh relic site, invested by the governments of Vietnam and Laos, was inaugurated in May 2012 and has become the first Ho Chi Minh relic site in Laos. The site has both Lao and Vietnamese architecture with flower gardens and lakes on the bank of the Mekong river.

The minister praised the Vietnamese community in Xieng Vang village for donating their land for the construction of the Ho Chi Minh relic site. He wished that the community will join hands with the Lao administration to preserve and upgrade the relic site, which is a beautiful symbol of the great friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

He affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always pay attention to overseas Vietnamese, and have issued many policies to encourage them to participate in the construction of the homeland.

He also urged the Vietnamese community in Laos to contribute to the development of Laos and the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

On this occasion, Minister Lam also presented gifts to the management board of the Ho Chi Minh relic site and Vietnamese people in Khammuon province./.
