Embassy warns Vietnamese in Indonesia having registered to return home

On April 21st, the Indonesian Government issued a notice regarding a ban on travel to the area around Jakarta, including the inner city of Jakarta - Bogor - Depok - Tangerang – Bekasi. The notice is expected to take effect from April 24th, 2020. The specific information related to this regulation will be announced by the Government of Indonesia in the coming days. 
Vietnamese citizens who have registered to return home according to the embassy's urgent notice on April 19th, may be affected by the new regulations of Indonesia. Therefore, the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia recommends that Vietnamese citizens who are allowed to return home consider moving soon to the capital Jakarta, and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Besides, the Vietnamese Embassy also noted that citizens should comply with the regulations on immigration and health of Indonesia, specifically as follows:
(1) Regarding immigration, citizens need a valid passport to return home. For citizens who enter Indonesia after February 5th, 2020, the country does not require an extension of temporary residence nor levy any penalty for cases of overdue residence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
(2) Regarding health: The Vietnamese Embassy asks citizens to ensure their health when moving to Jakarta. People with suspected symptoms of COVID-19 infection may not be allowed to leave Indonesia.
According to the Vietnamese Embassy, Vietnamese citizens in Indonesia returning to home for special reasons will depart from Soekarno - Hatta Airport to Tan Son Nhat Airport in late April 2020. The embassy will report the specific date and time of the flight when it is officially approved by Indonesia and will continue to provide specific information for citizens who are allowed to return home according to the registered email address.
