Event honours Vietnamese women in Czech Republic

An event to celebrate Vietnam Poetry Day and International Women’s Day (March 8th) was organized at Sa Pa Trade Centre in Prague, the Czech Republic, on March 2nd.

The program was an opportunity to honour Vietnamese women in the Czech Republic for their contributions to family, community and society.
Ms. Truong Kim Anh, Deputy Head of Huong Viet Women Club and Head of the organizing board said that the event aimed to create a new art exchange playground for women on the occasion of the new Spring and International Women’s Day.
To have impressive art items at the program, the women of the club had to practice after their working time for many days. Apart from showing their talent, the women hoped that their fathers, husbands and brothers would sympathize with their work to preserve family happiness.
On this occasion, Nguyen Duy Nhien, Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic, presented certificates of merit to women, who have made positive contribution to activities of the community over the past time./.
