"ASEAN Family Day" was held at the Sports Park in Croissy-sur-Seine city in the western suburbs of Paris by ASEAN member countries, with the participation of a large number of staff, embassy staff, families and French friends on July 29th.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Cambodian Ambassador to France Chem Widhya emphasized that the festival aimed to strengthen the solidarity and friendship among ASEAN countries, as well as the coordination and sharing of working experience among diplomatic representative offices in France.
Mr. Jean-Roger Davin, Mayor of Croissy-sur-Seine city, expressed his honour to welcome the special guests for this meaningful activity and encouraged everyone to enjoy healthy nature at the sports park in his home city.
Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son said that Vietnam has made active contributions to the organization of the event, due to the preparations made while the Vietnamese Embassy in France was the President of ASEAN countries.
According to the Ambassador, besides the exchanges, sports and games, the ASEAN countries also each actively introduced their special culinary culture. Vietnam proudly introduced dishes, which have been loved by international friends such as spring rolls, steamed glutinous rice with grilled chopped meat and fried shrimp.
Ms. Theresa P. Lazaro, Filipino Ambassador to France, said that she was delighted to be part of the event to strengthen solidarity among the 10 ASEAN nations, as well as looking toward the 50th anniversary of ASEAN, which has become a successful model of regional multilateral cooperation.
Singaporean Ambassador to France Zainal Arif Mantaha appreciated the achievements ASEAN has made over the last five decades. According to him, these are the foundations to help ASEAN strengthen cooperation and continue to develop in the future./.
