Exhibition on land and people of Vietnam in Russia

A photo and document exhibition about “Vietnam’s land and people - View from the sea and islands” was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and Vietnamese Embassy in Russia at the Hanoi - Moscow Trade Centre in Moscow, Russia on November 22nd - 25th.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Tao, Head of the Authority of Grassroots Information under MIC, said that the exhibition is an opportunity for Vietnam to introduce to Russian people, the Vietnamese community in Russia and international friends, the innovated country of Vietnam with a lot of potentials; dynamic and creative Vietnamese people on the path of development and integration; having a friendly and cooperative relationship with other countries in the world, through images of economy, politics, culture, country, people, and the sea and islands of Vietnam.

This is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese community living abroad and international friends to get a better view of Vietnam. In addition, the exhibition is also an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese and international friends to seek Vietnam’s guidelines and development policy, encouraging patriotism, national pride and affirming the belief of overseas Vietnamese on the path of innovation and development of Vietnam.

Besides, the exhibition also introduced images of professional and modern Vietnamese revolutionary press, as well as important milestones in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia in recent times.

Ms. Nguyen Quynh Mai, Counselor and Chargé d'affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy to Russia, expressed her hope that the exhibition will provide more information about the land and people of Vietnam to Russian friends and the Vietnamese community in Moscow, thereby contributing to improving mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, strengthening and intensifying the friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.

The exhibition included dozens of photos and special handicraft products of Vietnam. It had five main themes of Sea - existing space of the Vietnamese community; living with the sea and islands; Vietnam through the media perspective; friendship between Vietnam and Russia; and essence of Vietnam.

In addition, the exhibition also introduced stamp paintings about Vietnamese ethnic groups; Vietnamese tourism map; books about the land and people of Vietnam - view from the sea and island; photo book about "Vietnam's roads" and some press publications of Vietnam.

After the exhibition, MIC will present all photos and documents displayed at the exhibition to the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia to serve the diplomatic communications of the embassy./.
