Exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh opens in Moscow

An exhibition themed “Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh with Vietnam - Russia friendship” was organized by the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site, Exhibition Centre of the Russian Journalists’ Association and Russian Peace Foundation in Moscow on May 17th.

The exhibition was held on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh’s 128th birthday and 95 years since Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh first visited to Russia.

The exhibition included 150 outstanding documents, photos and objects in four sections: Nguyen Ai Quoc's first visit to Lenin's country (June 1923); Nguyen Ai Quoc returned Russia two times in 1927 and 1934; President Ho Chi Minh with Russia in the 1950 -1969 period; and Russia with President Ho Chi Minh and President Ho Chi Minh with Russia.

The delegates highly appreciated the role of President Ho Chi Minh in liberation and construction of the country of Vietnam, as well as fostering the close friendship between Vietnam and former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation today.

Over 30 years of finding ways to save the country, and 24 of leading the people of Vietnam to carry out struggle to liberate and build the nation, Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh soon recognized the great significance of the Russian October Revolution, therefore he decided to come to Lenin and follow the way of the Revolution.

The choice began the close relationship between the Vietnamese Revolution and the Russian Revolution, between the Vietnamese people and the Russian people, laying the foundation for the deep loyal friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Since June 1925, Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh had six years of living and working in Russia (excluding the time of visiting and working in the Soviet Union as the President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam). He always showed his deep affection and gratitude for Russia and the people of Russia always respected and loved the great friend Ho Chi Minh.

At the exhibition, many war veterans were moved to recount their memories when fighting in Vietnam, as they saw photos about President Ho Chi Minh.

The event introduced to the people of Russia the close and friendly activities between President Ho Chi Minh and Russian leaders and people, as well as contributed to boosting the Vietnam - Russia special deep relations President Ho Chi Minh worked hard to build./.
