Exhibition “S-shaped beloved land” held in Mongolia

An exhibition titled “S-shaped beloved land” was recently organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator.

The event was part of a series of activities to mark the 65 years of Vietnam - Mongolia diplomatic relations (November 17th) and the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of Vietnam (September 2nd).  

The exhibition also aimed to introduce the country of Vietnam, which is beautiful, develops prosperously and loves peace, with many landscapes and diverse agricultural, aquatic goods and foods.  

This is the biggest exhibition of Vietnam in Mongolia, with an area of nearly 500m2. It was divided into two parts. The first part displayed photos about Vietnam- Mongolia relations over the past 65 years such as the visit to Mongolia by President Ho Chi Minh and exchange visits of high-ranking leaders of the two countries; historical landmarks in the Vietnam - Mongolia relations. 

Besides, international friends also contemplated landscapes and tourism destinations along the S-shaped land, the elegant beauty of Hanoi - the capital of a thousand years of civilization, meditative and ancient Hoi An town, unique beauty of Ha Long bay, Phu Quoc island, impressive landscape of Phong Nha - Ke Bang cave and immense terraced fields in northwestern mountainous region.

 The second part was to introduce agricultural, aquatic products, handicrafts and garment products of Vietnam. Visitors also enjoyed hot coffee, dried fruits, grilled cuttlefish and wine of Vietnam.  

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong highlighted the significance of the exhibition. She emphasized that through the exhibition, Vietnam desires to promote economic cooperation with Mongolia and other countries. The ambassador affirmed that the government of Vietnam would continue to make highest effort to reform its economy, complete the law system and improve the business and investment environment, creating favourable conditions, equality and transparency for investors, especially Mongolian investors.

Dr. Tsengellkham Byambaa from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences said this was the biggest exhibition of Vietnam in Mongolia so far. Through the exhibition, Mongolian people and international friends learn about the good Vietnam – Mongolia relations and the country of Vietnam with dynamic development. He believed that after the event, many businesses wanted to cooperate with Vietnam.

During the exhibition, students from School No.14 named after President Ho Chi Minh, performed Vietnamese songs in palm-leaf conical hats and traditional long dresses that made visitors more passionate and transported with the beauty of Vietnam.

After enjoying dried fruits and coffee as well as watching traditional long dress, palm-leaf conical hat and handicrafts at the exhibition, many visitors asked to purchase these products because they were very impressive. 

Mr. J. Davaadamdin from Khuvsgul province traveled nearly 1,000km to participate in the exhibition. He met with Ambassador Huong to express that in 2017, he went to Vietnam and really loved the peaceful beauty and goods of Vietnam. Therefore, he went to the exhibition to explore and seek cooperation opportunities. Vietnam has many beautiful landscapes, developed tourism. The handicrafts displayed in the exhibition are very delicate and pretty. He desired to work with Vietnam to develop tourism and manufacture handicrafts./.
