Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Hoai Duong desired that the 30 photos displayed would bring to Mexican friends and international tourists the natural beauty, daily life of people, achievements in renovation cause and development of Vietnam, which is a friendly country, always open to friends from five continents, contributing to promoting solidarity and friendship among nations.

Dr. Jose Alfonso Suarez del Real y Aguilera, Director of the Department of Culture of the capital Mexico City, affirmed that through the photos, the people in the city would feel the attraction of the nature, friendly people and cuisine culture of Vietnam, a country of peace.

He stressed that Vietnam is the first country chosen to attend the Initiative “Paseo de las Culturas Amigas” (A walk to friendly cultures) of the administration of Mexico City, in order to introduce cultures of friends in the world to local people.

The administration of Mexico city said that the exhibition would be displayed throughout September to welcome the 74th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and it is expected to attract millions of visitors.

Mr. Huilizer from Mexico city, said that the photo exhibition was attractive because most of Mexican people know little about Vietnam.

“This is a completely different view from what we ever learnt about Vietnam with war and bombs. No one introduces a Vietnam with endless natural beauty, friendly people and delicious dishes,” stressed Mr. Huilizer.

Ms. Verónica also said that this was a wonderful photo exhibition about Vietnam with cultural features, nature and cuisine, that helps Mexican people be closer to the S-shaped country. Although Vietnam and Mexico are distant geographically, they are close in history with many similar features.

“The exhibition helps Mexican people understand more about Vietnam and I will make plans to travel to Vietnam,” she added./.
