Two Vietnamese - Americans died of Covid-19 in Washington State of the US.

Confirmed by the Vietnamese Embassy in the US, they may be the first Vietnamese origin people who have died of this virus, in the US and around the world as well.

The first person is a woman, born in 1946, died on March 16th (US time) in Seattle city, Washington, the state with the highest mortality rate due to Covid-19 in the US.

She was found to have signs of infection with the new strain of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in a nursing home on March 9th, then was taken to a medical center for testing and results were positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient died one week after being hospitalized.

The 2nd Vietnamese-American is a blind old person in a nursing home in Washington State. Although there was a death due to Covid-19 in this nursing home, people having contact with infected person were not examined and tested if they didn’t have symptoms.

On March 12th, the second patient had a fever and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. The person was later taken to the hospital but died 24 hours later./.
