Football tournament for Vietnamese community in Russia

A football tournament was launched by the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia for the Vietnamese community in Moscow on August 10th.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Phu Thuan, Deputy Head of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia and Head of the organizing board, said that sports movements in the Vietnamese community, especially annual football tournaments of Vietnamese people in Russia, have become a good tradition, playing an important role in connecting the community.

The 2-week event attracted 125 footballers from five teams. The AFC Moscow and FC Song Lam Nghe An teams played the opening match. The final match is set to kick off on August 24th.

After many years, the tour creates a healthy cultural playground to strengthen the solidarity among the community./.
